What is Fei?

Fei is an ERC20 stablecoin originated from the Fei agreement. It is a decentralized stablecoin, using various mechanisms to (theoretically) maintain a more efficient and equitable capital distribution than other projects. The purpose of the Fei agreement is to create a mobile market. Fei/ETH can closely trade with ETH/usd pairs.

Unlike most other tokens, Fei’s token supply is basically unlimited. It is managed by the miner and burner contract, and the release of tokens is controlled through the bonding curve and transaction incentives. The Fei token demonstrates some non-standard features of ERC20, but only applies to a subset of transactions. The ETH binding curve will have a target supply of 250million Fei, which is set as a guiding target. This goal, also known as “scale”, will be a sign that Fei will stabilize its price at $1.

The Fei linkage is governed by two core elements of the Fei protocol, namely.

• The value of protocol control (PCV), and
• Direct excitation

Although the project started with only one ETH denominated hook curve, it will allow the creation of other curves over time.

Fei in Circulation

Up to now, there are 437749741 Fei in circulation, with a market value of $434753328.There is no maximum supply of Fei stablecoin. Its supply increases or decreases according to demand. Coins enter circulation with the help of the return curve, which is used to lock the price of Fei at $1. When the demand for Fei increases, users can re purchase it on the bonding curve. The admission price was initially set low to reward those who supported the project early.

In addition, the Fei protocol supports the creation of new bonding curves. However, its main binding curve will be priced in ETH. Even though ETH will not be sold on the binding curve, a secondary market (PCV) will be created through which users will be able to return to ETH if they wish.

The goal of the Fei agreement is to create a completely decentralized stablecoin without the problems faced by many current stablecoin projects. Therefore, there will be no token printing by a third party, nor will there be excessive collateral to safely maintain the token peg.

Does Fei Deserve to Invest?

The Fei protocol has three main advantages.

• Ensure liquidity. Fei owners do not have to worry about the whale of cryptocurrency, because the agreement itself is the primary owner of liquidity. It is funded by the Fei yield curve and traded at ETH/fe parity on uniswap.
• Balanced support. If the price support of Fei is insufficient, the Fei protocol can adjust the price of uniswap and restore support.
• Administration. PCV may also be used in different regions. PCV can set interest rates to pave the way for the borrowing and lending of Fei tokens.

In the long run, the intrinsic utility of Fei, especially in the field of DeFi, makes it a good investment.
