View ChartKlever Coin (KLV) is the native utility token of the Klever Blockchain, a public and decentralized Layer 1 network built to support Web3. The token powers the entire Klever ecosystem, functioning as its all-in-one fuel for transactions, staking, and governance. Klever began as a crypto ecosystem initially built on the TRON blockchain, later migrating to its own development using Cosmos technology, known as Klever Chain. The project aims to bring blockchain technology closer to the mobile world through Klever OS, a suite of development resources for decentralized applications. KLV has a maximum supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens and operates on a deflationary model with automatic token burning. The project was founded in 2017 and launched its token in September 2020.
Klever was founded in 2017 by Dio Ianakiara, with the team growing to over 60 professionals. The co-founder and CEO is based in São Paulo, and a co-founder referenced as Delta also appears in project materials. The Klever Exchange is listed as the developer of the Klever Wallet application. The project has been under active development since its founding, with the KLV token launching in 2020 and the ecosystem expanding to include its own Layer 1 blockchain, a multichain wallet, and a suite of decentralized applications.
Klever Coin operates as the native utility token of the Klever Blockchain, a Layer 1 network built with Cosmos technology. The network supports advanced smart contracts and cross-chain operations. KLV is used to pay transaction fees, participate in staking, and engage in governance. The Klever ecosystem includes Klever OS, which provides development resources for decentralized applications, including a Web SDK, mobile SDKs for iOS and Android, and secure wallet handling using BIP32, BIP39, and BIP44 standards. Klever Swap uses KLV as its fee engine, allowing users to reduce swap fees by holding the token. The network also supports Klever Digital Assets (KDAs), user-created tokens with configurable staking mechanisms including APR and FPR models.
Klever Coin differentiates itself through its deflationary model, where KLV is automatically burned to reduce total supply over time. The ecosystem is designed with a mobile-first approach, aiming to make blockchain technology accessible through the Klever Wallet, a multichain self-custody wallet supporting over 40 blockchain networks. The wallet has been downloaded by millions of users worldwide and supports over 2,000 crypto swap pairs. Klever Chain's integration with Cosmos provides access to a broader ecosystem with improved scalability and decentralization. The project also emphasizes security, with private keys stored locally on user devices and never accessible to third parties, including the Klever team. The token's utility across staking, fee reduction, and governance creates multiple demand drivers within the ecosystem.
KLV serves multiple functions within the Klever ecosystem. It is used for staking and other DeFi operations within the network and supporting applications. The token pays transaction fees on the Klever Chain network and reduces swap fees when using Klever Swap services. KLV holders can make P2P payments, buy VIP tokens, participate in new projects through crowdfunding, and engage in NFT markets. The token is also used for voting in governance proposals. Additionally, KLV holders benefit from the programmed burning system that reduces circulation and supports the token's deflationary model. The token is central to all Klever OS and Klever Chain products and services.
The Klever ecosystem has expanded significantly since its founding in 2017. It now includes Klever OS, Klever Chain, Klever Blockchain, Klever Wallet, Klever Swap, Klever Finance (KFI), Klever Exchange, and Klever Apps. The Klever Wallet supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, Binance Smart Chain, Klever Blockchain, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cardano, Sui, Stellar, ICP, Reef, and Doge, with access to over 40 blockchain networks. The wallet offers in-app crypto purchases, staking rewards, real-world usage through Bitrefill and Travala integrations, and a built-in Web3 browser. Klever Digital Assets allow users to create custom tokens with APR and FPR staking options. The project continues to develop its Layer 1 blockchain and expand its decentralized application ecosystem.
Klever Coin is not mined through traditional proof-of-work. Instead, KLV is earned through staking, a process where users lock up their cryptocurrency funds in a wallet to participate in the validation and creation of blocks on the Klever Blockchain. A node holding 10 million KLV or more is eligible to become a validator. The minimum amount allowed to stake KLV is 1,000 KLV. Users can stake by freezing their KLV through the Klever Blockchain operator interface, and unstake by unfreezing assets using the bucket ID generated when the assets were first staked. Excluding NFTs, all Klever Digital Assets are fit for staking, with KLV and KFI having special staking characteristics. Staking rewards for KLV and KFI are distributed automatically in every epoch based on KLV spent on fees and network parameters.
Klever Wallet is a multichain self-custody wallet that gives users full control of their private keys. Private keys are encrypted and stored locally on the user's device, and no third party, including the Klever Wallet team, can access them or restrict transactions. When creating a wallet, users receive a 24-word recovery phrase, and they can optionally generate an encrypted backup file. Users should never share their seed phrase with anyone, as Klever cannot recover funds if the private key is lost or shared. The wallet is built on Klever OS, which uses state-of-the-art encryption technology to protect sensitive data. For additional security, users should store their recovery phrase offline in a secure location and avoid sharing private key information through any digital channel.
