View ChartIdena is a blockchain project that describes itself as a novel way to formalise people on the blockchain without personally identifiable information. It proves the humanness and uniqueness of its participants by running an AI-resistant test at the same time for everyone around the globe. The Idena blockchain is driven by a Proof-of-Person (PoP) consensus, where every node is linked to a cryptoidentity representing one single person with equal voting power. Idena is the first proof-of-person blockchain where every node belongs to a certain individual and has equal voting power. The network of validated people also solves the blockchain oracle problem, as its independent mining nodes can act as oracles.
IDNA is the native token of the network. Total supply figures referenced across market data sources sit in the range of roughly 156 million to 159.6 million IDNA, while circulating supply is approximately 99 million IDNA. Idena launched in 2019 and remains an active, community-driven open-source project.
Idena is an open-source project started in October 2018 by an anonymous group of like-minded engineers and computer scientists. Andrew Edi is referenced as co-founder of Idena, including in The Green Pill Podcast. The project continues to be developed by its community and contributors. Detailed public information about the full team is currently limited, consistent with the project's anonymous origins.
Idena validators are coordinated on the basis of a 1-person-1-vote consensus. Security is ensured by the variety of validators and a minimum threshold for stake to be eligible to vote. The throughput of the 1-person-1-vote blockchain can be enhanced by increasing the number of independent validators, and a sharded network of validators enables parallel processing of more transactions.
Identity is natively integrated into Idena smart contracts. To participate, users download the Idena app and, on a validation date before 15:00 UTC, solve a series of common sense tests known as FLIP-puzzles. Participants then create bot-resistant FLIPs for the next validation. No personal data is required; users simply prove their uniqueness. The difficulty of FLIP-tests increases over time, and AI-resistant FLIPs are used to train a friendly AI that helps filter out trivial flips, making it harder for hostile AIs to attack the system.
Idena addresses a core problem in blockchain: most networks have struggled to maintain decentralization and have drifted toward plutocracy, where venture capital, whales, and staking pools dominate governance and monopolize mining. Idena's design rests on three pillars of decentralization. Plutocracy resistance combines 1-person-1-vote with higher returns for smaller stakers, mitigating the dominance of the rich and stimulating network diversity. Collusion resistance uses identity staking against buying and selling accounts, identity farming, and coercive validation. AI resistance relies on human creativity, boosted by accessible AI tools, to withstand attacks from hostile AI bots.
The project has drawn commentary from figures such as Kevin Owocki, who noted Idena is one of many players making an earnest try at creating more Sybil-resistance, and the Blockchain Socialist, who described Idena as a blockchain that has found a good balance between privacy and Sybil-resistance.
IDNA supports several use cases. It can be used for arbitrage trading given frequent price fluctuations, for earning yield through lending or other Earn products, and for sending or paying to a receiving address. Beyond transfers, Idena enables identity staking for any IRC20 token, which can be used for airdrops or building plutocracy-resistant DAOs based on token-backed identities. Developers can build DApps using Idena Oracles as a decentralized gateway to access real-world data.
The Idena ecosystem centers on identity staking, oracles, and the wrapped Idena token on BNB Smart Chain. Partners and media listed on the project's website include Gitcoin, Radicalexchange, Cosmos, Aragon, Amasa, Discord, Coindesk, Humanetics, CoinLore, Hackernoon, Publish0x, Frontiers in blockchain, Bitcourier, Newsbit, Coingecko, Coinmarketcap, and Crypto.com. Community platforms include Telegram, Discord, and Twitter/X at IdenaNetwork. Build resources are available through the project's documentation and GitHub. An Idena 2021 community report was published on Medium, and the project has been discussed on The Green Pill Podcast, The Blockchain Socialist podcast, and referenced by Tristan Harris on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Idena enables democratic access to mining. Neither expensive mining hardware nor a large amount of money for stake is needed; an average laptop that is online is sufficient. Costs are low, as the node can run on a home computer, laptop, or Raspberry Pi. Mining is eco-friendly, requiring no GPU or mining rigs and no high electricity usage, and users do not need to be tech experts to install the mining node on a PC. To create a cryptoidentity, a user receives an invitation code from a validated participant of the network and uses the code to apply for validation. Rewards are designed so that individual APY is always higher than the APY of staking pools or richer accounts, with higher returns for smaller stakes to increase network diversity.
As with any crypto asset, investors should closely monitor IDNA's performance and stay aware of the risks. The crypto world is highly volatile, and adequate research and preparation are necessary. Cryptocurrency prices, including Idena, can be highly volatile. Users should safeguard access to their Idena app and any wallets holding IDNA or wrapped Idena, keep private keys and recovery phrases secure and offline, verify contract addresses before interacting with tokens, and be cautious of phishing attempts. Because Idena relies on invitation codes for validation, users should only obtain codes from validated participants they trust.

When trading IDNA futures on BTCC, technical chart analysis begins with identifying key support and resistance levels on 1D and 4H charts using historical price pivots. Next, apply MA/EMA indicators to gauge trend directions, alongside RSI (values above 70 indicate overbought conditions, while below 30 suggest oversold levels). Always validate breakout signals with the 24h trading volume ($0), as price breakouts accompanied by strong volume offer higher reliability.
Unlike spot trading where you can only profit from rising prices, BTCC’s IDNAUSDT perpetual contracts support two-way trading.
