NFT Sales of Transgender Teenagers Soared to a Milestone of $50million

According to a report made by NBC to commemorate pride month, transgender teenager Victor langloire has made nearly $50million selling NFT versions of his art works.

Victor first came into people’s attention in June 2021, when he sold five sets of physical NFT works of art through Christie’s auction house, with a total price of $2.16 million. This set of works entitled “Hello, I am fewocius, this is my life” focuses on his childhood and gender change.

Since then, the 19-year-old artist has sold more works of art in the NFT market. He has gradually become a household name in this field, and even sold NFT worth nearly $20million within 24 hours of nifty gateway. According to fortune, this is the third largest sales in the NFT market.

The artist, also known as fewocius, told fortune about his challenges as a transgender child: “to be honest, it’s hard for me to deal with,” he said. After being taken from an abusive family to live with his grandparents, langeva claimed that living with them was no better. In an interview with Esquire, he said: “I thought I would be safe, but they are still as mean.”

He also told the magazine that he was afraid to come out because his family were religious. He also mentioned that his Hispanic grandmother did not understand his decision to pursue art.

“I think she struggled for a long time. She just wanted a sense of security. Seeing that I wanted to pursue art, she was like. What, being a lawyer. I understand that. But when she said, ‘your art is ugly, that’s why you can’t do it’, I was very sad.

Now that he has achieved some success, Langlois is not going to stop. According to him, NFT trade let him know that art is not necessarily static painting. “Dreams are not relaxation and doing nothing. Dreams are painting,” he added.
