Coinbase Announced a Trilogy Film Series Starring the BAYC

A large part of the NFT conversation in 2021 revolves around the future possibilities brought by emerging figures and fresh IP. Now by 2022, many predicted practices of integrating NFT native IP into popular culture are being realized. One example comes from coinbase, who announced today that they are making a trilogy film with the themes of bored ape yacht club and apecoin, and rely on the community to help make the project.

Coinbase and bayc launch Degen Trilogy

Coinbase is celebrating and amplifying the bayc community through a trilogy film series, inviting novices to enter the emerging NFT community with people already in the Yuga labs network. From today on, the owners of bored ape can be found in degentrilogy Com to get the chance to cast their apecoin in a three (3) part adventure.

William Swann, director of entertainment and cultural marketing at coinbase, said: “at coinbase, we are committed to creating and supporting content projects that talk directly to our community and maintaining a culture of Web3 innovation,” he added. “Since our goal is to bring the next 1 billion people into the cryptocurrency economy, we firmly believe that this interactive film series will serve as a catalyst for this mission and help viewers understand the cooperative nature of Web3. The move is part of a larger shift in the ecosystem, in part because of coinbase’s upcoming NFT market, which many believe will be a moment to shake the landscape – more people join NFT than ever before.
