Bored Ape Yacht Club Donated $1 million Ethereum to Ukraine

Although Bayc is the latest cryptocurrency company to donate to Ukraine, this European country has received great support from the wider cryptocurrency community, which has made a large contribution to Ukraine’s national interests.

The popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club (Bayc) has donated $1 million directly to the ETH wallet address in Ukraine. Bayc announced through its official twitter account that the donation was inspired by the contributions of bayc community members.

Cryptocurrency donations continue to support relief efforts to help citizens affected by the war crisis in Ukraine. According to experts, the escalation of the crisis will only lead to the largest inflow of alternative financial support for emergencies in the world.

Through this donation, the boring ape man Yacht Club NFT series joined other communities that expressed solidarity and support for Ukrainian citizens. According to the records of Merkle science, Ukraine has received more than $80 million in cryptocurrency donations.

NFT is a unique token existing on the blockchain and an expression of asset ownership. Bored ape Yacht Club is one of the few NFT projects with a reserve price above 50eth.
The project became famous as a cultural representative of NFT ecosystem, and attracted the attention of Eminem, Stephen curry, Jimmy Fallon and other celebrities in the process. They all chose apes to enter Tibet.

Cryptocurrency Donation to Ukraine

According to the existing data of the country’s official Ethereum address, it has a balance of more than 2500 eth, with a cumulative value of more than $7 million.However, according to elliptic, the total contribution to the country is about $60 million, which is $20 million less than Merkel’s contribution to science.

The preferred currency used by bitcoin donors in Ethereum is not among the best. Elliptic shows that Ethereum accounts for about 34% of all donations to Ukraine, while bitcoin accounts for about 31%. Tether, usdc and other stable currencies accounted for 17% of the donations, and Polkadot accounted for 15%.

A Bloomberg report also pointed out that Ukraine may be seeking to use war bonds to help its defense. The report revealed that the government could raise $277 million with a yield of 11% and a one-year period.
