トランプ氏一族の企業、ステーブルコイン発行へ

[ロンドン ２５日 ロイター] - トランプ米大統領一族が経営に関わり暗号資産（仮想通貨）事業を手がける「ワールド・リバティー・ファイナンシャル（ＷＬＦ）」は２５日、米国債やドルなどの資産を裏付けとしてドルとの価値連動を目指すステーブルコイン「ＵＳＤ１」を発行することを明らかにした。発行時期は公表していない。 「ＵＳＤ１」はイーサリアムとバイナンス・スマート・チェーンのブロックチェーンにより発行されるとしており、将来的には他の規格にも対応する予定としている。 デジタルトークン「ＵＳＤ１」は１ドルと同等の価値を持つように設計するとしており、ＷＬＦは「第三者の会計事務所による定期的な監査を受けた準備資産により、価値が十分に裏付けられる」と説明した。ただ会計事務所の詳細については明らかにしなかった。 ＷＬＦの共同設立者ザック・ウィットコフ氏は国債などの運用者や主要な機関は、「ＵＳＤ１」を国境などによる切れ目もなく、安全な取引として組み込むことができると述べた。 ＷＬＦは、米大統領選の２カ月前にトランプ氏と３人の息子、トランプ氏と関係が近い富豪のスティーブ・ウィットコフ氏（ザック氏の父）によって発表された。これまでに「＄ＷＬＦＩ」として知られる仮想通貨を販売し、５億５０００万ドルを調達したという。
