Modification of liquidation level

30/05/2023

Thank you for your continuous support of BTCC. To better align BTCC's services with user needs and industry standards, BTCC will modify the liquidation level for futures trading from the current 30% to 20% from 02:00 am to 02:15 am on 31 May 2023 (Wednesday) (UTC). When your liquidation level reaches 20%, open positions will be liquidated by the system automatically.

Here's how the liquidation level is calculated: Your account's net value ÷ Used margin × 100%

Please be aware that modifying the liquidation level will not directly cause profits or losses to users. However, after the modification, users may experience greater volatility in their trades, and it is their responsibility to manage the risks associated with their positions.

Below are some tips to avoid forced liquidation:

1. Keep the risk status on the ‘Futures’ page green at all times

Green signals that your positions are safe; orange serves as a warning for liquidation risk. When the risk status turns red, users must deposit immediately to avoid their positions from being liquidated.

2. Set stop loss

Use the stop loss feature to set a stop price to automatically exit a trade when the price of a product reaches the predetermined level.

3. Start with low leverage

Novice users can try low leverage first to minimise the risks before trading with high leverage. The minimum leverage that BTCC offers on all products is 1x.

4. Set up market widget

Create your customised market watchlist to monitor the real-time market price of your favourite products.

Please note that the liquidation level may be adjusted again in the future, and users will be notified through announcements.

Thank you for your attention and understanding. If you have any questions about this announcement, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team via Live Chat. Thank you for your support.
