Wednesday Market Watch: Slight Rebound on the Horizon?

Last edited: Dec 9, 2021

In today’s market report, all major coins show signs of recovery as altcoins made gains as much as 13%, while BTC and ETH remained stagnant.

EOS: $3.6571 (+13.47% past 24 hours)

EOS has not been covered in recent articles posted on the blog, due to the fact that it rarely received media coverage and has not performed well since peaking at $14.8899 on May 12. However, it has made gains of over 13% over the last 24 hours, making it the single hottest coin currently traded on BTCC. It could be a sign of life and recovery to come for EOS.

UNI: $18.392 (+7.23% past 24 hours)

Another coin that has made recovery today after weak performances since October is UNI, who has made the second biggest jump of 7.23% in the past 24 hours. As mentioned on the BTCC blog before, Uniswap is one of the most well-known protocols in the DeFi space, and it should not come as a surprise that it has made quite a recovery since hitting the low point of $13.301 on December 4, as many investors considered it to be undervalued.

BTC: $50,474.71 (-0.21% past 24 hours)

ETH: $4,414.12 (+2.51% past 24 hours)

The two biggest cryptocurrencies, BTC and ETH, which account for more than 70% of the entire crypto industry’s market capitalization, did not thrive as much as EOS or UNI did today. Instead, both coins performed similarly, with ETH ending slightly up in the past 24 hours after experiencing a massive dip midway, while BTC ending just about breakeven after the same major dip midway through the day. Below you will find the two respective price charts, which shows the correlation of the two coins as their price movements almost mirrors each other.
