US Seeks to Return $8.2m in Seized Crypto to Scam Victims

The United States Attorney’s Office in Ohio is seeking court approval to forfeit and return roughly $8.2 million USDT held in three cryptocurrency wallets to victims of a scam operation. The scam involved fake investments tricking victims through “wrong number” text messages and fraudulent trading platforms.
