BitBoy Crypto, real name Ben Armstrong, faced a dramatic downturn in the summer of 2023 amidst claims of substance abuse and causing damage to employees of BJ Investment Holdings, the parent company of HIT Network. Armstrong was removed from the company and specifically the BitBoy Crypto brand. He denied these claims.
