Binance Expands Spot Trading with ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL Listings Following Massive User Participation

Binance, the leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has added three new tokens—ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL—to its Spot trading platform after a highly engaged community vote. The listings highlight Binance’s commitment to user-driven expansion and market diversity.

Binance Lists ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL Tokens

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has officially listed ONDO (ONDO), Big Time (BIGTIME), and Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) on its Spot trading platform. The listing follows a successful Vote to List campaign, where over 424,000 users participated, casting more than 523,000 votes. Starting from 14:00 UTC on April 11, users can trade ONDO/USDT, ONDO/USDC, BIGTIME/USDT, BIGTIME/USDC, VIRTUAL/USDT, and VIRTUAL/USDC pairs. Deposits were enabled one hour after the announcement, while withdrawals will open on April 12 at 14:00 UTC. All three tokens have transitioned from Binance Alpha to the main Spot platform.

SEC, Binance Seek Extension in Ongoing Case

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Binance have requested a federal judge to extend the pause in their ongoing legal battle for another two months, citing ’productive discussions.’ The SEC initially sued Binance in 2023, accusing the crypto exchange and its U.S. affiliate, along with executives like former CEO Changpeng Zhao, of violating federal securities laws by operating as an unlicensed clearing agency, broker, and exchange. Allegations also included commingling and manipulation of Binance.US’s trading volume. The request for an extension comes after U.S. President Donald Trump’s return to office and the appointment of Commissioner Mark Uyeda as acting agency chair, who then sought a 60-day pause in the case.
