Swiss Post intends to release a new set of cryptocurrency stamps in 2019, following the company’s initial success in selling crypto stamps in 2021. Starting on August 8, the Swiss Crypto Stamp 2.0 will be sold for CHF 9 per unit in partnership with the Locarno Film Festival.

Inacta provided the technical solution required for Switzerland to get its first crypto stamp last winter. On November 25, 2021, all 175,000 copies of the book were sold out in less than five hours. Swiss Post is now carrying on the legacy of success. In partnership with the Locarno Film Festival, the Swiss Crypto Stamp 2.0 was created. The new crypto stamp will be distributed on August 8th, 2022, and this time the NFT is a video clip; all about Swiss cinema will be the focus.

The NFT is a Swiss Stamp

Swiss Crypto Stamp 2.0 features ten distinct topics. The latest series contains 250,000 crypto stamps, with 25,000 copies of each theme. There are two pieces to each of these crypto stamps. Although it is a physical stamp that costs CHF 9.00, it is self-sticking, for franking postal items, and rather conventional in its handling. On the other side, a so-called NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is unlocked with each crypto stamp. For this digital feature, Inacta was able to provide the technological solution.

The Blockchain Has a Record of the Stamp

The NFTs are kept on the Polygon blockchain, which uses less energy. Inacta’s technical solution includes, among other things, the generation of the 250,000 tokens required for this project. Further, the smart contract and the IT infrastructure supporting the digital wallet must be put up. Inacta and its venture Tokengate were able to draw on a wealth of worldwide NFT project knowledge to help achieve this.

Tokengate is a platform for token and NFT initial issuance. Swiss Crypto Stamps’ technological solution was closely monitored by Christian Di Giorgio, Principal Consultant at Inacta and long-time expert in blockchain technologies.

An excellent opportunity to demonstrate the digital transformation and potential of blockchain on an everyday object and make it accessible to everyone is provided by the crypto stamps. ” “We intend to demonstrate this technology’s immense potential to a wide audience.” Principal Consultant at Inacta, Christian Di Giorgio, says

The Swiss Crypto Stamp 2.0 will be released in an edition of 250,000 on August 8, 2022, at 7:30 a.m. local time. In select post offices across Switzerland, the second Swiss crypto stamp will be available for purchase starting on March 1. Any post office in Switzerland, as well as www.postshop.ch, can take orders for it.
