Is FTX getting its name on the blockfolio app?

Images of the Blockfolio app from early 2021. Fresh on the heels of the largest funding round in crypto history, FTX is getting its branding in order. The crypto exchange helmed by Sam Bankman-Fried is slapping its name on the Blockfolio trading app it acquired in May 2020 for $150 million, killing a clunky colon in the process.

Does blockfolio have a trading app?

Yes, Blockfolio users are able to trade on a wide variety of popular exchanges from within the app. Additionally, users are able to trade with Blockfolio’s parent company FTX from directly within the app. Does Blockfolio have a desktop app? No, there is currently no desktop app available for Blockfolio.

What's new at blockfolio?

Over several weeks the Blockfolio app was rebranded as the FTX app which now had its own exchange. It also had a new set of Know Your Customer rules, Anti-Money Laundering policies, a new Terms of Service, as well as its own custodial wallet held by FTX, we assumed. How secure is Coinbase vs blockfolio & FTX?

It keeps 98% of funds in air-gapped cold storage, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) backs USD balances. Moreover, Coinbase uses a bug bounty program and retains insurance for funds kept in hot storage. In contrast, you won’t find many details about security on the Blockfolio or FTX sites.
